Biography
I started attending MJC while still a senior in high school and I haven’t left for long since! I attended San Francisco State University to earn my BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and later, while teaching, attended Stanislaus State University to earn an MBA.
I taught my first class here in spring of 1983. During those early years, I taught accounting, business, computer graphics, and math, and I was the original Teaching Resource Center Director. I truly enjoy the work of accounting, but I love teaching even more.
Technology has always been an integral part of what I teach and this continues to be true in my online courses which utilize varied technologies in the form of video, Voice Thread, and outside web resources. In a quest to be the best online teacher I could be, I became an @One Online Certified Teacher in Spring of 2012 and then took additional training to become an MJC Master Online Teacher in Spring of 2020 and an Advanced Online Teaching course in Spring 2022.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and trying to be artistic!
