Biography

Greetings! It's a pleasure to join the English-as-a-Second Language Faculty at MJC.  I was born and raised in the Bay Area and have recently relocated to Modesto with my husband Chris. I have been teaching ESL for over twenty years with a focus on teaching English for Academic Purposes, English for Hospitality and Tourism, and teacher training.  My teaching has brought me all over the world.  I served as an English Language Fellow in Mexico at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi and as an English Language Specialist with the U.S. Department of State in Brazil.  I enjoy hiking, traveling around the world, cooking, and painting (I'm currently taking painting classes at MJC).  I'm honored to be part of the Modesto community and am looking forward to meeting you.
