Biography

My name is Erin Black and I am a full-time instructor of Psychology at Modesto Junior College. I have been teaching at MJC since 2015. I love it! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a Master's Degree in Social Work, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Prior to teaching full-time at MJC, I worked as a mental health therapist in a public and private practice. I'm happy to offer guidance to students who are interested in pursuing a career in mental health as a therapist, counselor, or clinician.

In addition to teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, playing tennis, gardening, and planning for our next trip.  I look forward to meeting my students each semester, and I love helping students achieve their academic goals.

Psychology 101 General Psychology
Psychology 105 Abnormal Psychology
