Biography

My teaching career began in Hamburg, Germany, after I earned a Master's Degree in German Lit and Language from UCSB. (My Bachelor's degree was in German from Occidental College.)  Later I obtained a Master's in Teaching ESL from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. I taught part-time at various schools in California while raising two sons.

From 1997 to 2009 I was an adjunct instructor at MJC in ESL and German; then my husband's work took us to the Midwest. After five years of teaching ESL at a private language school in Indiana, I returned to Modesto and MJC in the fall of 2014 and am glad to be an instructor in the English for Life and Work program.
