Biography
Wutha Seng was born in Kompong Cham Province, Cambodia and has lived in Modesto, California for the last 29 years. He has traveled abroad and visited 8 different countries.
Wutha has a daughter and son. He has been happily married since 1991. He and his family love to travel and visit different places in the states and other countries in the world. He and his family really enjoy traveling and trying different kinds of food together.
Wutha has been teaching English As a Second Language/Non-credit series for the last 17 years as an adjunct instructor. He commits to bring about real and practical results in people's live in the community. As a former second language learner, he is very sensitive to the needs, problems, and challenges associate with the diversity of the community college student population. He has great passion for teaching and commitment to higher education. He is able to appraise the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. In addition to teaching, he has been an adjunct counselor working in the CalWorks Program. As an academic counselor, he assesses, assists, and helps students understand and overcome personal, social, financial, behavioral problems, and many other barriers affecting their vocational, academic,and professional successes. CalWorks is one of the programs at Modesto Junior College that can bring and help students overcome their obstacles and barriers. It also helps students reach their goals and professions.
