Library & Learning Center 122

I'm a librarian primarily assigned to the West Campus Library & Learning Center. I'm the library liaison to Science, Mathematics, and Engineering, as well as the Nursing and Allied Health divisions.

I earned my BA in English from California State University, Stanislaus; my MA in English from Arizona State University; and my Master of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. I've worked in public libraries and in a vocational college with technical and allied health programs.

I write poetry, some of which can be found in Quercus Review, In Posse Review, California Quarterly, and Penumbra. Along with Sam Pierstorff and Gillian Wegener, I am co-editor of the anthology More Than Soil, More Than Sky: The Modesto Poets (Quercus Review Press, 2011). My first full-length poetry collection, Alkali Sink (Sixteen Rivers Press, 2015), was nominated for a Northern California Book Award in poetry and my second collection, Dust Bowl Venus, is forthcoming in April 2021. I served as poet laureate for the city of Modesto from 2016-2020.
