Information

Keith Petersen has a B.A. in astronomy/physics from Dordt College (1982) and an M.A. in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Eastern Michigan University (1985).  He has been teaching all levels of credit and non-credit ESL at MJC since 1993.  Keith has also taught five years plus three summers in China. 

Since 2003, Keith has spearheaded the organization of two conferences and four workshops for the Yosemite Chapter of CATESOL (California Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages), which covers a total of six counties.  He has also assisted in the organization of several other conferences and workshops.

Biography

Keith Petersen was born in South Dakota and has lived in five other states--including California, of course!  He has visited an additional 21 states. 

Keith has a son and daughter and has been happily married since 1988.  At their church, he and his wife counsel people who need financial help.  He and his family especially enjoy hiking and reading.
