Biography

Hola!

My name is Tony Pacheco but please refer to me as Maestro Pacheco. I have been teaching Spanish for 18 years both high school and college level. I am proud to say that I am a Salvadorian-American.  I was born in El Salvador and due to the Civil War during the 80’s my parents immigrated to the United States.  In 1995 I reunited back with my family in California. I love the Spanish language and culture.  I studied two years at MJC and finished my BA from CSU, Stanislaus along with my teaching credentials.  In the summer of 2006, I started a study-abroad Master’s Degree Program from Sacramento State University. I studied in Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru and Mexico, and I finished my master’s degree in 2009.  It is my pleasure to be the facilitator of your enthusiasms to learn the Spanish language.

This is my 7th year as a full time instructor at MJC. This semester ALL of my courses will be taught fully online.

Futbol (soccer) is one of my passions and I have a team that is made out of MJC students and friends.

Mucho gusto,

Maestro Pacheco
