As an undergraduate, I went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where I earned a B.S. in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Developmental Psychology. Then, I went to graduate school at UCLA, where I earned both an M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology with a focus in Measurement and Psychometrics (Applied Statistics). My research interests include teenage pregnancy prevention, implementation of comprehensive sex education programs, and parent-adolescent communication about sex.
I currently teach my two favorite classes: Sociology 105 (Statistics) and Psychology 110 (Human Sexualities). In the past, I have also taught Research Methods, General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Social Psychology. In addition to MJC, I have taught courses at UCLA, CSU Stanislaus, Palomar College (San Marcos, CA), and Kauai Community College. I have worked at MJC since 2008, and I absolutely love it here...great staff, great faculty, and GREAT students!!!
